Nina Argyropoulou

Nina Argyropoulou is the Deputy Manager of Corporate Communications & Sustainability at Piraeus Container Terminal (PCT), part of COSCO SHIPPING Ports, where she leads the company’s ongoing transformation toward sustainable growth and responsible business leadership. With an academic background from the London School of Economics (MSc in Regulation) and the University of Bath (BSc in Business Administration), she combines regulatory insight, strategic thinking, and strong communication expertise to deliver measurable impact.

Since joining PCT, Nina has been instrumental in shaping and executing the company’s ESG strategy, ensuring full alignment with the wider sustainability goals and long-term vision of COSCO SHIPPING Ports. She has overseen the introduction of governance frameworks, data-driven reporting systems, and advanced digital tools that integrate sustainability into every business function. Under her leadership, PCT achieved a verified 36% reduction in CO₂ emissions within two years and earned three Gold Awards at the 2025 Hellenic Responsible Business Awards for ESG Strategy, Sustainable Development, and Sustainable Technology.

Equally important has been her effort to build a culture of awareness and participation. Through targeted training programs, management briefings, and the launch of PCT’s Sustainability Newsletter, Nina has kept sustainability at the forefront of internal dialogue, fostering engagement and accountability across all teams.

Her work has positioned PCT as a benchmark for sustainable port operations in Greece and beyond. By aligning the company’s actions with COSCO SHIPPING Ports’ global sustainability vision, she has helped ensure that PCT not only meets but exceeds its environmental and social commitments — proving that long-term competitiveness and sustainability go hand in hand.

Μέσα σε δύο χρόνια, η εταιρεία πέτυχε επαληθευμένη μείωση εκπομπών CO₂ κατά 36% και τιμήθηκε με τρία Χρυσά Βραβεία στα Hellenic Responsible Business Awards 2025 για τη Στρατηγική ESG, τη Βιώσιμη Ανάπτυξη και την Τεχνολογική Καινοτομία.

Παράλληλα, έχει ενισχύσει τη συμμετοχή και τη γνώση γύρω από τη βιωσιμότητα μέσω εκπαιδεύσεων, ενημερωτικών δράσεων και της δημιουργίας του Sustainability Newsletter της PCT, καλλιεργώντας μια κουλτούρα συνεργασίας και υπευθυνότητας.
