Michel Montbertrand

Michel Montbertrand has expertise and significant experience in the Legal, Compliance and Internal Control System fields. He is a member of the Association of Compliance Officers in Greece (ASCO Greece). He is also a member of the Athens Bar Association and Cyprus Bar Association. Currently, he holds the position of Head of Compliance Unit, AML Officer & Deputy DPO at Groupama Asfalistiki.

Previously, he worked as Legal & Compliance Director and Internal Auditor of ALD Automotive Group – Societe Generale Group. He also worked as Head of Compliance Officer at SOGECAP Insurance Company – Societe Generale Group and cooperated as legal advisor to the Minister at the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and as Associate Lawyer for Karatzas & Partners Law Firm.

He studied Law in Paris and Strasbourg. He holds a master’s degree in Corporate Law, a Master of Business Administration and certifications as Compliance Officer & AML Officer from the organization TÜV Austria and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

He is fluent in English, French and Greek.
