Stathis Efthymiou

Stathis Efthymiou is a senior executive with more than 29 years of experience across Energy, Telecommunications and Banking.  He currently serves as Chief Commercial Officer at the Athens Urban Transport Organization (OASA).

Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership positions, combining strategic and commercial thinking with a strong understanding of technology, data and customer behaviour. His expertise spans marketing, business development, customer acquisition and retention, CRM, loyalty, digital transformation, customer experience and communications.

Before joining OASA, he served as Marketing & Communications Director at Heron Energy, where his leadership and the collective achievements of his team earned him the distinction of Marketing Manager of the Year 2025. His previous experience also includes management roles at WIND, Vodafone, hellas online, Citibank and Shell.

His leadership philosophy is grounded in trust, integrity and accountability, with a strong belief in developing people, encouraging innovation and translating strategy into measurable results for businesses, customers and society.

He holds a Diploma (MEng) in Civil Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), an MSc in Computing Science from Imperial College London, and a Professional MBA from ALBA Graduate Business School.
