George Xirogiannis

George is the Director General at SEV Hellenic Federation of Enterprises and the CEO of its research institute.

He is a board member at Entersoft SA and a member of the advisory board of EGG at Eurobank. He also chairs the market access working group at BusinessEurope. George served as the Deputy Director General at SEV from 2019 to 2022 coordinating industrial policy, growth strategies, investments, digital economy, regional development, and international trade. Prior to that, he assumed various director-level positions at SEV.

George has also worked as a Senior Manager at PwC, leading strategy and operations projects in Greece and abroad. George has lectured undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the University of Piraeus and the University of the Aegean. He has written extensively on cutting-edge technologies and modern entrepreneurship.

George holds a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from Heriot-Watt University, Dpt. of Electrical Engineering, Edinburgh, UK and an M.Sc in Artificial Intelligence from Bristol University, UK. He graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from the University of Ioannina.
