Anastasia Makarigaki

Anastasia Makarigaki’s 30-year career in Business & Human Resources has taken her through a diverse array of industries and global experiences. She has left her mark on prominent organizations like Bank of Piraeus, PepsiCo International, Carrefour, DHL, and Minerva Edible Oils, working across Eastern and Central Europe, the Balkans, and Israel.

In her Senior Director roles, Anastasia managed operations in over 15 countries, and her time as Head of Europe Employee Relations at PepsiCo involved hands-on labor relations management with more than 15 unions. Her HR expertise also extended to M&A activities.

Anastasia’s transformative HR projects, including outsourcing, organizational design, and employer branding, have positively impacted organizations with 10,000+ employees and >100 HR team members. The companies she worked for have earned distinctions such as Europe Excellence Awards, Top Employer, and European Great Place to Work. She has shown her dedication to social responsibility through initiatives like Greece’s first Social Grocery, CitiZoume.

Anastasia’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s and MBA with high honors from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. She has further honed her skills as a Hogan Assessor, Certified Coach, and International Trainer in Management.
In 2021 she co-founded Further Up-HR, an HR and Business consulting company.
