The goal as a market leader is to be able to achieve market differentiation, in an echo system that must be transposed to a robust digital reality. Setting up the Retail site of the future in a fast paced market where you are always expected to lead the way, set the pace and keep your customers happy.
A customer journey includes price check, cleanliness of the site, hub services and fuel differentiation. A journey that ends when the customer makes the payment, leaves the site, posts to social media not forgetting word of mouth. They also expect to be served at the pump for both refueling of their vehicle and payment of shop items in a fast and efficient way.
The challenge to achieve an innovative way of serving our customers is by applying digital automation. In our case the tool used was a mobile app supporting our own loyalty scheme.
Additional functionalities were implemented to visualize shop items, coffee, beverages and services so that the end user can pre-order goods and services or even have shop items delivered with payments supported by an in-app wallet.
